End of Support Notification

The following Data Subjects V1 API will reach end of support on December 31, 2023. Any customers leveraging this API endpoint to retrieve data subjects will be affected.

• GET /v1/datasubjects/profiles

Customers can use the following Data Subjects V3 APIs to begin integration testing.

• GET /v3/datasubjects/profile
• GET /v3/datasubject-profiles

Please contact your OneTrust representative or OneTrust Support to request access to these APIs. If you are not making use of the V1 API, no changes are required. For additional details, see Migrating to Data Subjects V3 Endpoints.

• New Parameter for Interaction Date Validation: Updated API to include the new enableDataElementDateValidation parameter to allow interaction date validation for data element updates. When the parameter value is set to true, data elements will retain the value of the receipt with the latest interaction date. When the parameter value is set to false or not included, data element values will get overwritten with the value of the most recent receipt, regardless of the associated interaction date (legacy behavior).
  • POST /v1/consentreceipts Updated API
• Data Subjects V3: Added the following APIs to retrieve either a single data subject profile or a list of all data subject profiles. These APIs are designed to be used in synchronous workflows and will remain available during maintenance periods.
  • GET /v3/datasubjects/profile New API Preview

    This API is under preview beginning in OneTrust 6.32. The response will return results for newly created data subjects after the preview request is enabled.

  • GET /v3/datasubject-profiles New API Preview

    This API is under preview beginning in OneTrust 6.34. The response will return results for newly created data subjects after the preview request is enabled.

Data Discovery

• Create or Update Data Source: Updated API with required parameters to create a new data source or update an existing data source. This allows users to manage data sources with basic or advanced payloads and apply data source settings via API.
  • PUT /v3/system Updated API
• Data Discovery API Updates: Added new object definitions, updated definition names, and removed select, irrelevant options across various Data Discovery APIs related to scan profiles, data sources, scan jobs, and credential metadata. Updated APIs

Privacy Rights Automation

• Pause Request Deadline API: Added API to allow users to pause and resume request deadlines. This enables users to pause request deadlines while waiting for further information from data subjects.

• Link Request API: Added API to allow users to link requests. This enables users to link multiple requests to more easily track duplicate requests or different requests from the same source.
