Squarespace and the OneTrust Script

If you use Squarespace to manage your website, you can add the script to your theme header, along with the scripts for tag managers your organization uses.

Integration Steps

  1. Open your Squarespace page.

For GDPR, you will need to take some additional steps. You will need to:

  1. Disable the Enable Cookie Banner option.
  2. Enable the Disable Squarespace Analytics Cookies.
  3. Disable Enable Activity Log.

  1. On the menu, select Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. The Code Injection screen appears.

  2. In the Header section, paste the script.

For the integration to work, you must have a published script. For information on how to publish a script, see Getting Started with Cookie Compliance.

Code Injection

  1. Click Save.

Install and Implement Google Tag Manager in Squarespace

First you will need to add Google Tag Manager to your Squarespace site, then you will need to configure Google Tag Manager within Squarespace to work with Cookie Compliance. For more information, see Setup and Install Tag Manager.

  1. Log in to your Google Tag Manager account.

  2. Go to Admin > Install Google Tag Manager.

  3. Copy and paste the code elements into the <head> and <body> into the Code Injection section of your Squarespace site. You can find this by navigating to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection.

  4. Save the changes to your Squarespace site.

  5. Set up your Google Tag Manager tags. For more information on how to set up tags, see Cookie Compliance Integration with Google Tag Manager.
